If additional third-party tools are integrated in the future, this Policy will be updated to name them before they are used.

04Browser Local Storage

In addition to cookies, this website uses browser local storage on certain pages. Local storage is a standard browser feature that saves information on your own device. It is not a cookie: it is never transmitted to our servers and is not accessible to us.

4.1 What we use it for

Our free interactive learning tools — such as the Spanish Basics Trainer — save your progress locally so you can close the page and continue later from the same device and browser. This may include which topics you have completed and your scores within the tool.

4.2 What it does not contain

No name, email address, IP address, or any other personal identifier. The information is anonymous and meaningful only within your own browser.

4.3 Why no consent is requested

This storage is strictly functional and is initiated by your own use of the tool. Storage of this kind does not require prior consent, in the same way as strictly necessary cookies. It is not used for analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling.

4.4 How to remove it

Clearing your browser data for this website removes it permanently and immediately, at any time, through your browser settings. Removing it will reset your progress in the interactive tools, since we hold no copy of it. Because the information is stored on your device, your progress does not transfer between devices or browsers.

05Your Consent and How to Withdraw It

When you first visit this website, a notice asks you to accept or decline functionality cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are set regardless, as they are required for the site to operate.

Your consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time. To withdraw it, you may clear this website's cookies through your browser settings, which will cause the notice to be presented to you again on your next visit, or configure your browser to block or delete cookies generally.

Acceptance of our Terms and Conditions does not constitute consent to cookies. Cookie consent is obtained separately through the cookie notice and operates independently of those Terms.

09Applicable Law

This Policy is governed by the law of the Republic of Chile, currently Ley N° 19.628, transitioning to Ley N° 21.719 upon its entry into force on December 1, 2026.

Because our students are located in several countries, this Policy has been drafted with regard to the principles of other applicable data protection regimes, including the GDPR in the European Union, the CCPA in California, and PIPEDA in Canada. Nothing in this Policy deprives you of any mandatory right granted to you under the law of your own country of residence.
